DNF to demonstrate performance and reliability benefits of LSI 3ware RAID controller cards with DNF’s Falcon VME gateway at ISC West
Hayward, CA – March 22, 2010 – DNF Security, Dynamic Network Factory’s (DNF) mission critical IP Surveillance business unit, today announced it has qualified the LSI 3ware® 9750 series of SATA+SAS RAID controller cards based on 6Gbs SAS technology for use with its Falcon Series Video Management Engine (VME). DNF will demonstrate how the LSI 3Ware 9750-8i controller increases the performance and reliability of the DNF storage system during ISC West in Las Vegas this week.
“With high availability, the LSI 3Ware RAID controller has been upgraded to 6 Gb/s performance that improves speed and flexibility,” says MoTahmasebi, CEO of DNF Security. “The controller works flawlessly with our Falcon VME.”
The new 3ware 9750 series cards provide exceptional performance, usability and reliability for sequential I/O and multi-stream application environments such as video surveillance. The controllers deliver up to 2.5 GB/s in sequential read and 1.1 GB/s in sequential write performance, more than doubling the data transfer rates of the previous generation products. The controllers are designed to easily integrate with existing 3Gb/s SATA and SAS infrastructure, allowing customers to protect current investments.
“The transition from analog to digital surveillance has placed tremendous strain on storage resources, requiring solutions that can keep pace with growing capacities while providing real-time video access,” said Brent Blanchard, director of worldwide channel sales and marketing, LSI. “Leveraging 6Gb/s SAS technology, the LSI family of 3ware 9750 controllers deliver the performance, reliability and scalability demanded by this market and we're pleased that users can now seamlessly take advantage of the cards with the DNF Falcon systems.”
