DataStor RAID Combines 75GB RAID with integrated 30GB Tape Backup For $2995
Hayward, CA - September 02, 1999: Dynamic Network Factory, the US subsidiary of the $16 billion, Japan-based CSK Inc., announced the introduction of its new DataStor RAID product line, a series of RAID storage subsystems with integrated tape back up priced as low as $2995. Built with superior quality of today's leading RAID servers, and combined with the ease of Plug & Play, the DataStor RAID introduction marks a significant price breakthrough for the RAID Storage and Backup market.
DataStor RAID connects to a host server through a standard SCSI-3 adapter to give any network administrator the security and performance of a hardware-based RAID solution. The DataStor RAID series provides an effortless, four-step LCD setup that takes only minutes to configure.
The DataStor RAID series offers storage capacities of 75GB and 112GB, RAID levels 0/1/5 and a choice of integrated 30GB or 50GB ADR tape back up. DataStor RAID features 64MB of controller cache (upgradeable to 128MB), dual hot-swappable power supplies, hot swap drives, and fax modem/pager failure notification. DataStor RAID's superior ECC maintains maximum performance while correcting multiple error bursts. Interfaces supported are Ultra-2, LVD, fast, wide, and ultra-wide SCSI host channels with data transfer rates of up to 80MB. The DataStor RAID uses ADR tape drives to deliver affordable and reliable solutions from office workgroups to the Enterprise. DataStor RAID is S.M.A.R.T. System compliant and supports the EPA Energy star standard (Green PC friendly).
DataStor RAID's microprocessor-driven RAID controller combined with the latest in chip set technology makes it one of the fastest and lowest priced RAID and Tape Storage subsystems on the market. DataStor RAID storage costs as low as 2.4 cents per MB versus the fault-tolerant industry standard of more than 15 cents per MB. The DataStor RAID series is available now
