Hayward, CA, May 25, 2003 -- Dynamic Network Factory, a leading developer of high performance, reliable and affordable storage solutions, today announced the DataMax HA14000 RAID system, which exclusively offer a dual host Ultra160 SCSI RAID subsystem and dual redundant Active-Active or Active-Passive RAID controllers. Capacities range from 1.1TB to 7.0TB.
The DataMax HA14000 is a reliable, high-availability system designed for high speed applications with large storage requirements. This level of hardware sophistication comes at an affordable cost, thanks to the use of IDE hard disk drives. The intelligent dual-host Ultra160 SCSI subsystems supply fault-tolerant data protection at speeds up to 160MB/second, with complete transparency to the host operating system. Supporting RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3, and 5, the cost-effective DataMax HA14000 is ideal for mission-critical operations where large file transfers are common. Total reliability and system scalability are ensured with with hot-swappable drives, trays, RAID controllers, fans, and load-sharing power supplies.
The DataMax HA14000 is available in two sizes, a 5U rackmount configuration supporting 1.1TB to 3.5TB and an 8U rackmount configuration supporting from 4.4TB to 7.0TB of storage. Each unit is contains a 2U dual-RAID controller module with 64MB of on-board RAID cache (upgradeable to 512MB).
Dynamic Network Factory’s Dynamic Share software is also available, providing customers with the option of integrating a cost-effective dual host solution. This client-side software can be used with direct-attached storage and SANs, provides a transparent volume sharing solution, includes dual-host capability and optional dynamic volume sharing. Dynamic Network Factory’s Dynamic Share software allows multiple users to work simultaneously on a single NTFS volume, increasing productivity, while avoiding the risks associated with leaving a single computer in control.
