Hayward, CA, July 12, 2004 -- Dynamic Network Factory, a leading developer of high performance, reliable and cost-effective storage solutions, announced today the FlexStor NAS Server lineup, which offers a scalable customizable solution based on Microsoft’s dependable Windows™ Storage Server 2003 operating system.
The FlexStor lineup offers a variety of hard disk interfaces ranging from solid state disk, Ultra320 SCSI hard disks, parallel-ATA, to serial ATA hard disks. Each product comes standard with Intel’s high-performance Xeon™ processor, a Dual 10/100/1000 Copper Gigabit Ethernet Controller, and internal floppy disk and CD-ROM drives.
With the M4-SA16000F and M4-SA16320, the 4U NAS engine offers the ultimate in flexibility for implementation of a Hybrid Storage Network (HSN) system. The engine, comprised of two 36GB hard drives for OS mirroring, SCSI controllers, and single or dual Xeon processors, can be custom configured utilizing the 6 standard PCI slots to handle additional controllers and offer more convenience.
The modular design of the M4-SA16320 supports storage based on serial ATA hard drives ranging from 576GB to 16TB supporting RAID Levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 30, 50 and JBOD and includes a dual channel Ultra320 SCSI controller.
The FlexStor NAS M4-SA16000F offers ease of integration and the latest NAS and Serial ATA-to-2Gb Fibre Channel RAID technologies. The unit comes in configurations ranging from 576GB to 20TB in a 19U enclosure supporting RAID Levels 0, 1, 3, 5, 0+1.
With the M1-SA16320 and the M2-SA16320, Dynamic Network Factory expands its modular lineup, offering customers additional solutions with a separate NAS engine. The M1-SA16320 is ideal where space is at a premium; it offers a combination of stellar performance and a compact enclosure. The M2-SA16320 was designed for environments where performance, expandability and redundancy are key. Each product features storage ranging from 576GB to 12TB using high performance serial ATA hard drives.
The FlexStor NAS 1600, in a convenient 3U chassis, offers storage ranging from 576GB to 4TB and possible expansion to 16TB when bundled with the Enterprise 16000 models. This all-in-one model includes support RAID Levels 0, 1, 5, 10, or JBOD and supports the latest NAS and serial ATA technologies. The FlexStor NAS 1200 maintains maximum uptime, with capacities scaling up to 3TB in a single unit, and future expansion available when combined with the Enterprise 16000. The NAS 1200 features 14 serial ATA drives, with two utilized for mirroring the OS for maximum uptime and supports RAID Levels 0, 1, 5, 10, or JBOD.
To round out the lineup, the FlexStor NAS 400 offers up to 1TB of storage in a convenient 1U chassis, utilizing serial-ATA storage with a hardware RAID 5 controller. The NAS 400 offers additional flexibility with optional SCSI controllers.
The FlexStor NAS 420SA storage up to 1TB and utilizes six serial ATA drives in a 2U chassis, with two drives serving to mirror the OS and maximize unit uptime and manageability supporting RAID Levels 0, 1, 5, 10, or JBOD. Also available is the FlexStor NAS 600SA with 2 additional drives and support capacities up to 1.5TB
